If you are a coder and can make a site with ease, do you figure that you could just make a personal site, rather then messing with them?

OK:
Messing with

Pros: They are well known and have a lots of users everyday,big chance you will be seen

Cons: You cannot actually do everything you want


Personal:

Pros: it's your kingdom and you specify the rules,plus you can customize it to your liking

Cons: You have to code everything yourself,which takes time,plus hosting fees,and the fact that unless you do great SEO you might not get found

But I always chose having my own site,at least I don't have to follow anyone's rules,rather create my own. (Yeah like Mafia )

Yeah, I like coding, so creating my own always comes first, although I have thought about making myspace styles and stuff for people. I just need to get better at making GFX.

Hm but you can always make a profile there just to advertise your site

Well vBSEO is a good start.

I am planning on using vBSEO only until I make my own mod.Unfortunately that will be about a year or more
